Are you experienced in supporting older people with complex care needs?

Are you an organised, methodical Nurse who is passionate about delivering positive change?

Then you can build a fast-moving nursing career with Care UK and help our residents get more out of life every day.

    What you’ll do

Leading the care team during your shifts, you will make certain that we fully meet residents’ medical, physical and emotional requirements. Ensuring compliance with our clinical governance framework, you will mentor and motivate colleagues, champion residents’ safety and dignity and drive continuous improvement, whilst acting as Named Nurse for your own portfolio of service users.

    Where you’ll work

Everything about Chandler Court has been designed to support you to stay active and independent.
Our purpose-built care home reflects Care UK’s ethos of helping residents to enjoy busy and fulfilling lives.
If you like to sit and watch the world go by over a cup of coffee and some freshly baked cake, the coffee shop is likely to be a big hit. At the heart of the home, it is a superb place to catch up with friends and visitors, creating the sense of a mini-outing, without leaving the home.

To help you to look and feel your best, the qualified hair and beauty therapists in our in-house salon are on-hand whenever you feel like being pampered. On warmer days, you can head outside to enjoy the secure, landscaped gardens. Sit and watch the visiting birdlife, stroll around the pathways and even help with planting in the raised flower beds if you wish. Or if you prefer, take a seat and watch one of your favourite films in the cinema, complete with its large, supremely comfortable armchairs.
The care home is divided into smaller suites, with around ten bedrooms plus a bistro-style dining area and comfortable lounge. We find that this layout creates a smaller community atmosphere and is particularly calming for residents who are living with dementia. In fact, every aspect of the home’s design, from the colour scheme, to the signage and the furnishings, incorporates touches that support people living with dementia.

Your bedroom will be your own personal space. All the bedrooms in our care home are decorated in different ways, so you can choose which you prefer. Each are beautifully decorated but you’re welcome to personalise it with your own treasured photos, pictures and possessions to help you feel more at home.

    Who you are

An NMC Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD), you will be well versed in care planning processes and fully familiar with clinical assessment tools.
You will be keen to develop your leadership skills and clinical knowledge, capable of building close relationships with residents and their families, and determined to drive continuous improvement.
